Manitowoc Company Donates $25,000 to Haiti Relief

A major employer in Manitowoc is donating $25,000 to help relief efforts in Haiti.

The Manitowoc Company said Tuesday it donated to the American Red Cross to help with medical, food, and shelter needs after the Haiti earthquake.

In addition, it offered assistance from its food services division to the Red Cross and other relief agencies, including ice and refrigeration equipment.

The company noted that Manitowoc cranes are already being used in recovery operations in Haiti, including the capital city Port-au-Prince.

The Manitowoc Company has 12,000 employees worldwide.
