A mobile crane overturned at a parking garage site in the Simei area of Singapore yesterday. The crane’s boom came to rest on the structure of the parking deck and no one was injured in the incident.
The crane was working with its five section telescopic boom fully extended, lifting and pouring concrete to the third storey of the building.
The position of the crane suggests that one of the outriggers might have been retracted or given way. However the operator, Mohamad Noor, 57, said that the concrete bucket may have been overloaded. At this stage these are the only details we have.
