Spotted on a construction site in Potsdam, Germany yesterday a man riding the crane slings with ladder.

In the words of our correspondent: “These pictures I have today taken on a construction site in Potsdam. Several times the employee was lifted on the crane solely on chain hooks. For this operation, it takes two employees and the crane operator, so it is not even efficient or time saving!”

It is hard to understand exactly what is being done or what the ladder is all about, but definitely one for our Death Wish series. Hopefully someone will look further into this and ask why they are not using appropriate equipment on one of the world’s most wealthiest economies?
