A reader has sent us a video clip of part of the opening ceremony at this year’s Nanjing Youth Olympics, which involved a large mobile crane. The video has to be seen to be believed.
The acrobats are working from the hook of what looks like a very large All Terrain, possibly a 1,200 tonner? The stunt certainly required a great deal of confidence in the crane and the highly complex rigging. It clearly flys in the face of attempts to stop the lifting people with cranes.
We loved the video, but also think it qualifies for our Death Wish series.
